- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a saucepan, combine beef broth, red wine, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and bay leaf.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20-30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Strain the au jus to remove onion, garlic, and bay leaf.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
