Classic Au Jus Sauce

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine beef broth, red wine, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and bay leaf.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 20-30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  4. Strain the au jus to remove onion, garlic, and bay leaf.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve the au jus warm with your favorite roast beef or steak.
