Broccoli and Cheese Casserole

Ingredients

  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup crushed buttery crackers
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Steam the broccoli until tender-crisp, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Gently fold in the steamed broccoli until well coated with the cheese mixture.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  6. In a small bowl, combine crushed crackers with melted butter and sprinkle over the broccoli mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is hot and bubbly, and the topping is golden brown.
  8. Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a boost of protein, add cooked chicken or ham to the casserole before baking.
