Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe avocados, peeled, pitted, and diced
  • 1 cup diced fresh mango
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 jalapeño, seeds and membranes removed, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, quartered

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mash the avocados with a fork to your desired chunkiness.
  2. Add diced mango, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and garlic to the mashed avocados.
  3. Squeeze lime juice over the mixture and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Gently fold in quartered cherry tomatoes.
  5. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  6. Cover the guacamole with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface to prevent browning.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For optimal flavor, choose ripe avocados that yield slightly to gentle pressure. Adjust the level of heat by adding more or fewer jalapeño seeds, depending on your preference. This chunky mango guacamole is perfect as a refreshing dip for tortilla chips or as a flavorful topping for tacos. To enhance the presentation, reserve a few mango cubes, cilantro leaves, and tomato quarters to garnish before serving. Enjoy the vibrant combination of creamy avocados and sweet mango with a hint of spice in this delightful twist on classic guacamole.
