Crescent Roll Apple Dumplings with Sprite

  • 2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 8 wedges each
  • 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (12 oz) can Sprite or lemon-lime soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll each apple wedge in a crescent roll, starting from the wider end, and place in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the butter mixture over the crescent-wrapped apples.
  5. Pour Sprite over the entire dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the apples are tender.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve the dumplings warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a delightful dessert experience.
