  • 1 cup pan drippings from roasted chicken (or additional broth)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in flour until smooth and lightly browned, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Gradually whisk in chicken broth and pan drippings, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  4. Bring to a simmer and cook until the gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Strain if desired for a smoother consistency.

Notes

Adjust the consistency by adding more broth if too thick or simmering longer if too thin. Feel free to customize with herbs or spices for added flavor.
