Salted Caramel Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips, chopped pecans, and salted caramel sauce until evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

These cookies are best enjoyed with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top for an extra burst of flavor. Store in an airtight container to maintain their freshness. Adjust the baking time if you prefer chewier or crispier cookies. Customize the cookie size based on your preference.
