Taco Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) corn, drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced green onions, chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until vegetables are tender.
  3. Stir in black beans, kidney beans, corn, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and taco seasoning.
  4. Pour in beef broth and season with salt and pepper. Stir well.
  5. Bring the chili to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and let it cook for at least 30 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Customize the spice level by adjusting the amount of taco seasoning or adding hot sauce. This versatile recipe can also be made in a slow cooker for added convenience.
