boneless, skinless chicken breasts

large sweet onions, sliced
1 cup
buttermilk
1 cup
all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon
garlic powder
1 teaspoon
smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup
vegetable oil
1/4 cup
unsalted butter
1 cup
chicken broth
1/4 cup
Tennessee whiskey
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Marinate chicken in buttermilk for 1-2 hours.
In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Dredge chicken in the flour mixture.
Heat oil in a skillet; brown chicken on both sides. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté onions until golden.
Deglaze with whiskey, add chicken broth, and bring to a simmer.
Return chicken to the skillet, cover, and cook until chicken is done.
Garnish with parsley and serve.
