Camembert and Cranberry Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of artisan bread
  • 1 wheel of Camembert cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Fresh thyme leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Lay out 4 slices of bread and evenly distribute the Camembert slices on each.
  2. Spoon cranberry sauce over the cheese, spreading it evenly.
  3. Top with the remaining slices of bread to form sandwiches.
  4. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  5. Place sandwiches in the skillet and cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  7. Optionally, sprinkle fresh thyme leaves over the sandwiches for added flavor.
  8. Slice each sandwich in half diagonally and serve.
